It's fair to say I lost the will to blog for a little while as I nursed myself back to rude health. But I have been greatly cheered by your magnificent post so full of wit and hound wisdom. My heart warmed to the picture of you having to avoid all those trees on the sidewalks, and as for the torture of the hide cane and raccoon incidents, well you have my utmost respect for your suffering. Happy Holidays, my transatlantic friend, xxxTarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16573486103107798262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7257632014578413949.post-18700909424776743762008-12-19T22:06:00.000-05:002008-12-19T22:06:00.000-05:00Wimsey,Here is what I have to say about this post....Wimsey,
Here is what I have to say about this post...
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

LOVE the shopping montage! No, you canNOT hide a 4 foot rawhide from a bloodhound. What were those girls thinking??? Bloodhounds can bounce just like Tigger (of Winnie the Pooh fame) for a very long time trying to get at that thing you are trying to keep away from them! You all must have been quite a sight on the way home!

Edie is unbelievably happy that you have added the "Night Before Christmas" again this year. When she saw it last year, she stood up in front of the Christmas tree (Christmas pee??) and recited it for the whole family! The photos are superb! You really should publish it!

Edie also wants to know how they managed to get a hat on you and keep it there for a length of time....? Drugs?? I have not allowed such a thing on my head, no matter the bribes.

This year we have a bloodhound/coonhound-proof tree at our house- a tree with lights and absolutely nothing else. No ornaments, no tinsel, no presents. Sigh. Do you have a tree?

We all hope you have a very merry Christmas, dear boy. I shall find and shred some presents in your honor!

Trusty Gus, the Alaskan BloodhoundEdie and Gushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15899288964144262542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7257632014578413949.post-81697356467465590542008-12-19T22:01:00.000-05:002008-12-19T22:01:00.000-05:00Heehee, loving Hound Santa! And a word of warning to all Hounds this Christmas....steal the turkey by all means, but whatever you do DON'T go near those tiny cabbage thingys or you might just find yourselves sleeping outside in the yellow snow rather than snuggled up under your humans' cosy duvets!!
The humans do not appreciate Brussel sprout-induced Dutch ovens!
Festive slobbers and a very Merry Christmas xxDughallmor Beagleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14825452987861943467noreply@blogger.com
